Paperweights for Collectors
by Lawrence H. Selman & Linda Pope-Selman

Subtitled:  An illustrated history and identification guide for antique and modern paperweights

This was the first of the books about Glass Paperweights by Larry Selman.  Written with Linda Pope-Selman, the book is filled with the authors' enthusiasm for paperweights and paperweight collecting.  It does a wonderful job of covering the history, varieties, methods of making, and all other aspects of paperweights.

This book is one of my all time personal favorites.  It devotes considerable space to the art of making paperweights and paperweight identification.  It is also one of the few books to include good pictures of better quality Chinese weights from the 1930s.

178 pages plus 8 preliminary pages (186 pages in all) with 311 figures.  Many pictures in color.
8 1/2" by 11 1/4".
Hard bound.  1975.
